Three prompts I lean on. None of these were given to me — I made them by getting tired of restating the same thing every week, then naming the shortcut.

User Zero
When · after you ship anything
You are user zero of <thing I just shipped>.

Use it for one hour with the intent of finding what trips you.
Narrate every moment you stopped, hesitated, re-read, or felt the
shape of a friction — even tiny ones. Don't fix anything yet. Don't
soften. Don't congratulate.

End with the three frictions that would make you walk away if you
didn't already know me.

Why — the first user of anything I ship is me, but I read what I built, not what I made. The prompt forces a stranger's eyes back into my own head.

Boundaries
When · before any scope conversation
Help me draw the boundary around <feature/product>.

List, sharply:
  IN  — what's in scope. The defendable core.
  OUT — what's deliberately out, and the one-line reason for each cut.
  EDGE — three things that look like they belong inside but don't,
         and why a sloppy reading would put them in by accident.

Then push back on me where I drew the line too generous or too tight.
Don't be polite.

Why — most of what kills a project is the thing nobody chose to leave out. Naming OUT is harder than naming IN; the prompt makes me do it on purpose.

Distill Me
When · you need a fresh mirror
Read everything you have about me — repos, messages, prompts, notes,
the way I write commit lines, the things I revisit.

Distill me into a 5-bullet character sheet:
  1. Voice            — how I sound on the page.
  2. Taste            — what I'd reach for, what I'd refuse.
  3. Allergies        — patterns that visibly bother me.
  4. Default moves    — the shortcuts I take before thinking.
  5. What bores me    — where my attention drops.

Don't flatter. Don't generalize. Quote me where you can. Show me back
to myself, especially the parts I'd rather not see.

Why — I keep growing past the version of me I last looked at. The prompt is a small mirror I hold up every quarter or so.
